Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Identification Authority (NIA), Osei Kwame Griffiths has backed the Chief Justice nominee, Justice Gertrude Torkornoo saying its only the law that can determine someone’s citizenship.
Speaking on the morning show on Ahotor FM dubbed Adekye Mu Nsem hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu, he said documents like Ghana card, Passport and Birth Certificate should also be away of prove since it has what it takes to proof.
According to him, in other jurisdictions, the moment you are born on their land automatically gives you the citizenship but not in Ghana.
In his comment, he said he does not think it should be so much confused to others because its something simple and meaningful to understand.
