The Black Galaxies of Ghana, have arrived safely in Accra in a chartered flight after their emphatic victory over the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the second leg of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) final qualifier at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Saturday.
The team arrived in the early hours of Sunday morning after beating Nigeria 5-4 on penalties to qualify for the tournament in Algeria following a 2-2 aggregate.
The Galaxies had a 2-0 advantage in the first leg played at the Cape Coast Sports last Sunday but faced the same feat yesterday in the record leg encounter to send the game to penalties.
Ghana will join Niger as two West African Nations for the tournament slated for January 8-31, 2023 after missing out on the last three editions in 2016, 2018 and 2020 respectively.
