Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay underwent a successful knee surgery on Wednesday and is expected to be out till the end of the season.
The 30 year old suffered a knee injury during Asante Kotoko’s training session ahead of their Ghana Premier League match-week 24 game against rival Hearts of Oak.
Ahotor FM can exclusively confirm that after the midfielder underwent a successful surgery to treat the injury, he is expected to be sidelined for at least two months.
Blay has so far made seven appearances for Asante Kotoko after joining on a two-year contract from fellow Premier League outfit Medeama SC during the GFA’s second round transfer window.
He joins Isaac Oppong and young goalkeeper Abdul Rafiu Yakubu in Asante Kotoko’s treatment room.
