The National Peace Council per mandate is to ensure peace and calmness that would ensure national development.
However, some have given redlines to their work. Some have also tagged them with political colours.
Speaking to the media at a symposium organized by the Presbyterian Church in the Bono region, the Bono Regional Secretary of the Council, Alhaji Suale Abdallah called on such people to disabuse their minds.
According to them addressing them as political is against their laws (2021 law act 818)
They said this tag is making their work very difficult affecting their activities.
“It looks like all our work and effort is being linked to some unwanted name in our books and this does not promote our work in anyway it rather make us quite ,meanwhile the peace issues must be solved so please stop tagging us political because we are not “
