Dreams FC Coach Winfred Dormon: Win Against FC Samartex a Confidence Boost

Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon has credited their victory against FC Samartex with boosting the team’s confidence ahead of their Ghana Premier League Week 9 encounter against Karela United.

The win has been a much-needed morale boost for the team, which had a difficult start to the 2025/26 league campaign.

Dormon led Dreams FC to a 2-0 victory over FC Samartex at Tuba AstroTurf, a result that has lifted the team’s spirits. “It’s a huge confidence booster because when we went to Dormaa and we lost by three painful goals, and we needed to quickly return to winning ways,” Dormon said in a post-match interview. “So we put things in place to ensure we lift the confidence of the players. They responded and we got the win.”

While Dormon was pleased with the team’s performance, he believes there is still room for improvement. “How the players delivered the game plan was good, but it could have been better,” he noted. “We will now return to training to work on improving. We have to learn to kill games.” Dormon emphasized the importance of being clinical in upcoming games and putting matches to bed earlier.

With the confidence boost from their win against FC Samartex, Dreams FC will look to carry this momentum into their match against Karela United. The team will need to maintain their focus and intensity to secure a positive result against their opponents.
