The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Hon. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has sent a heart warming message to all NDC MP’s and party supporters across the country for their fortitude, support, resilience during and after the elections.
His congratulatory message came at the back of the party’s successful bid in electing Rt. Hon S.K Bagbin as Speaker of the 8th Parliament of Ghana of the fourth Republic. Expressing his appreciation, the National Chairman of the NDC extended same to MP’s on the other side of the political divide who voted for Hon. S.K Bagbin for Speaker of Parliament.
“Our members of parliament have, through creative skills, experience, perseverance and determination, shown that the wings of the oppressor can be clipped and they indeed clipped it. I feel particularly proud of the men and women who represent our party in parliament. I do not have the right words to commend our gallant, courageous and strategic Honorable MPs for fighting through the night to ensure that our country elected Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin as Speaker of the 8th Parliament of Ghana.
Let me also say that I admire the patriotism of those NPP members of parliament, who saw reason in our cause and voted our way in choosing the speaker. I can only say kudos”
On his Facebook page, Chairman Ofosu Ampofo called for unity and charged party rank and file to remain assured that the Rescue Mission continues
