Truth, Unity, and Progress Must Guide Our Choice — Emmanuel Akpabli

Dear Comrades,

At this critical moment in our political journey, the responsibility before us is profound. The decisions we make today will shape not only the direction of our party but also the future of our constituency. It is therefore imperative that we remain vigilant, discerning, and unwavering in our commitment to truth, unity, and progress.

Once again, we are confronted with a familiar pattern—political camps making grand promises of jobs that do not exist, seeking to win your confidence with claims they cannot substantiate. These are not new strategies; they are recycled tactics rooted in deception, designed to mislead delegates and undermine the steady progress we have collectively achieved.

Let us examine these claims with clarity and courage. Where are the jobs they speak of? What credible evidence exists of their ability to deliver? Over the years, what tangible opportunities have they created for delegates and the wider constituency? The answers to these questions expose a troubling reality: empty rhetoric without a proven record of delivery.

Comrades, we must never lose sight of our history. Through resilience, unity, and sacrifice, we broke a 28-year political cycle that had long hindered our growth and development. That achievement was not accidental. It was the product of strategic leadership, collective determination, and the unwavering commitment of every one of you. We cannot—and must not—allow deception to reverse these hard-earned gains.

This is not the time for political experiments or untested leadership. It is the time to consolidate our progress with leadership that has a proven track record—leadership that understands the terrain, enjoys the trust of the people, and possesses the experience to deliver even greater electoral success for our party.

We must reject every attempt to manipulate our mandate through short-term inducements and hollow promises. Those who rely on such tactics are not advancing the interests of the party; they are pursuing narrow, personal ambitions at the expense of our collective future.

Let us stand firm. Let us remain focused. Let us uphold the integrity of our mandate.

Together, let us move forward with leadership that is tested, trusted, and ready to break new ground—leadership that has consistently demonstrated that the opportunities we seek are within reach and remains genuinely committed to the welfare and development of every member.

The future is in our hands. Let us protect our legacy, strengthen our unity, and move forward with confidence, purpose, and an unshakable commitment to victory.
