President Mahama Announces Completion of 35 Agenda 111 Hospitals, Assin North Facility Included

ASSIN BEREKU, Ghana, 26th July: President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has announced that 35 Agenda 111 hospitals across the country have been selected for completion this year as part of government’s efforts to improve healthcare delivery nationwide.

The Agenda 111 initiative, which was launched by the previous administration to address gaps in healthcare infrastructure, saw the commencement of hospital projects in several districts across the country. However, many of the projects stalled due to funding challenges, leaving numerous facilities at various stages of completion.

Speaking at Assin Breku in the Assin North District of the Central Region during his two-day #ResettingGhana Tour of the region, President Mahama said his administration has taken a decision to continue the project and ensure that selected facilities are completed and operational.

“As a government, we have decided to continue the project, and 35 hospitals have been selected for completion,” President Mahama stated.

The President further disclosed that the Agenda 111 Hospital in Assin North is among the facilities earmarked for completion under the programme.

“I am pleased to announce that the Agenda 111 Hospital in Assin North is among the selected facilities,” he said.

The announcement was met with excitement from residents, who have long anticipated the completion of the hospital to improve access to quality healthcare services in the district and surrounding communities.

President Mahama emphasized his administration’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare sector through the completion of critical infrastructure projects and the expansion of access to healthcare services across the country.

The President is currently undertaking a two-day #ResettingGhana Tour of the Central Region from Friday, June 26 to Saturday, June 27, 2026. The tour is expected to see him inspect ongoing development projects, engage local communities, and outline his government’s development agenda for the region.
