Asante Kotoko crash out of Confederation Cup on penalties

Asante Kotoko exited the CAF Confederation Cup after losing 7-6 on penalties against CARA Brazzaville in Congo on Wednesday.

The match ended 1-0 after 90minutes in favor of the Congolese side who managed to cancel out Kotoko’s 1-0 advantage from the first leg in Kumasi.

With the scores tied 1-1 on aggregate at full time, the match was decided via penalty shootouts at the Stade Alphonse Massamba Debat.

The Porcupine warriors missed four  and score six of their ten spot-kicks while CARA Club missed three and scored seven of theirs to eliminate Kotoko and progress to the next round.
