A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, Precious Abenya, has accused the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of attempting to make the current government unpopular, insisting that such efforts will ultimately fail.
Speaking on Adekyee Mu Nsem, the morning programme on Ahotor 92.3 FM hosted by Citizen Kofi, Mr. Abenya expressed confidence in the leadership of the NDC, stating that the party remains focused on delivering on its promises to Ghanaians.
According to him, the NPP is employing various strategies to discredit the government and undermine public confidence in its administration. However, he maintained that Ghanaians are capable of identifying what he described as calculated attempts to tarnish the government’s image.
“The NPP is doing whatever it can to make the sitting government unpopular, but it will not happen,” he stated.
Mr. Abenya further urged NDC members and supporters to remain united and vigilant in the face of political opposition. He called on party faithful to work collectively to ensure that the opposition’s objectives do not materialize.
“I believe in the leadership of the NDC. Let us work together to make sure the plans of the NPP do not come to pass,” he added.
His remarks come at a time of heightened political debate, as Ghana’s major political parties continue to engage on national issues and position themselves within the country’s evolving political landscape.
