Salomey Apenyin wins 4th edition of Ahotor Sports Quiz 2026.

Excitement filled the studios of Ahotor 92.3 FM as the station’s Sports Team successfully hosted the grand finale of the fourth edition of the Ahotor Sports Quiz competition, a closely contested intellectual sports showdown that ran from October 1, 2025, to May 20, 2026.

The competition progressed through the group stages, quarter-finals, and semi-finals, producing three finalists: Salomey Apenyin from Nsawam Adoagyiri, Seth Frimpong from Larte, and Daniel Amartey, who was unable to appear for the final contest.

The event was coordinated by Quiz Master Andrewa Akavani, Time Keeper King Solomon, Score Keeper Bright Junior, and Quiz Administrator and Head of Sports at Ahotor 92.3 FM, Mustapha Deen, who represented the station’s management during the presentation ceremony.

The final round was intensely competitive, with both finalists displaying remarkable confidence and a strong understanding of global football, as they answered questions drawn from both local and international sporting events.

At the end of the contest, Salomey Apenyin delivered an outstanding performance, securing 22 points out of 30, while Seth Frimpong followed closely with 19 points in a highly competitive showdown.

Salomey Apenyin was declared winner of the fourth edition of the Ahotor Sports Quiz. She expressed gratitude to the management of Ahotor 92.3 FM for the platform, and also thanked her family and supporters for their encouragement throughout the journey. She further pledged to defend her title in the next edition of the competition.

Seth Frimpong congratulated Salomey Apenyin, describing her as a tough competitor, and noted that he had never encountered such a strong female contestant in the competition. He added that he would return stronger in the next edition to challenge her.

The Head of Sports and Quiz Administrator, Mustapha Deen, also congratulated all the finalists, praising them for their discipline, determination, and in-depth knowledge of global football. He described the competition as a true reflection of sports intelligence and encouraged participants to continue sharpening their skills for future editions.

The prizes were presented by Mustapha Deen on behalf of the station’s management, marking a successful conclusion to the fourth edition of the Ahotor Sports Quiz.
