The gathering painted a picture of unity and gratitude, as close friends, political allies, family members, and business partners joined the political policy advisor at the Office of the Vice President to celebrate and thank God for His love, protection, and the gift of life.
In a touching moment, the celebrant, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty for His care and faithfulness. Reflecting on his life’s journey, he spoke about God’s abundant love and protection, acknowledging that where he has come from to where he stands today is a clear testimony of God’s goodness and mercy.
He reiterated that the many challenges he has faced throughout his political journey—as a church leader, mentor, and politician—have not been by his own strength but by the grace of God.
Looking back, he counts himself blessed. Just last year, he lost some close friends, a loss that deeply touched his heart and was very difficult for him. Yet, he said that as humans we have little control over such moments, and therefore he continually gives thanks to God for His mercy and for keeping him alive.
He also reflected on the political trials and tribulations he has experienced throughout his career, emphasizing that growth in life requires a clean conscience and genuine love for one another. According to him, these virtues help individuals overcome the many battles of life.
He further echoed that despite his humble beginnings and the many challenges he encountered along the way, he has never been one to celebrate his birthdays with lavish parties. Instead, he prefers to use the occasion as a time for deep reflection and prayer, seeking God’s guidance and protection for the journey ahead.
