The suspended General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, has told the media in Cape Coast last Saturday, that he misses serving his party.
“I do miss my role. It is service to my party. I still miss it. My heart and soul is with this party. I love the party,” he said.
Thousands of members of the NPP partook in the party’s 2017 Annual National Delegates Conference at the New Examination Centre of the University of Cape Coast.
It was attended by over 5,000 delegates from across the country.
The conference considered some proposals for amendment aimed at consolidating the constitution of the party, especially when it comes to their internal elections as well as overall running of the party.
It was a show of prestige and splendour as bigwigs of the NPP and foot soldiers, smartly dressed in their party colours, thronged the venue of the congress.
It was almost a competitive display when young beautiful ladies, in their jeans trousers and T-Shirts, moved in pairs to exhibit the well-decorated elephant, reflecting the present and future of the elephant family and Ghana as a whole.
Even some toddlers, who accompanied their parents, were beautifully dressed in the NPP colours; tight-fitted-blue jeans and T-Shirts with caps and shoes to match.
The trees, electric poles, vehicles and the street were a sight to behold as they were resplendently adorned in the NPP colours, with beautifully decorated horses parading the venue as the riders engaged in displays to the admiration of onlookers.
That notwithstanding, dozens of photographers had a field day as they competed to take photographs of party bigwigs, friends and relatives.
Meanwhile, people were doing brisk business as traders confirmed their unprecedented sales.
