Recent reports indicate that scouts from the Danish Superliga club Randers FC are set to arrive in Ghana shortly. Their primary purpose is to personally observe Asante Kotoko’s promising midfielder Hubert Gyau during live matches.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian talent has caught the attention of the Danish side right from the beginning of the current season. His consistent performances in the Ghana Premier League have placed him firmly on Randers FC’s radar as a potential transfer target.
Gyau, who joined Asante Kotoko from Berekum Chelsea in 2025 on a multi-year contract, has quickly established himself as a key creative force in midfield for the Porcupine Warriors, showcasing his skills as either an attacking No. 8 or No. 10.
This development comes amid growing interest in the young player from multiple clubs, including other Danish outfits like FC Midtjylland whose scouts have already been spotted at some of his games and even teams in Tanzania.
Despite the mounting external attention, Asante Kotoko officials have emphasized that Gyau remains under a long-term deal with the club. However, strong showings in upcoming fixtures could accelerate concrete moves from interested parties like Randers FC, who appear keen to follow up on their early scouting interest with direct evaluation on Ghanaian soil.
