Dormaa Central Health Director Warns Youth Against Abuse of Sex Enhancement Drugs

The Dormaa Central Municipal Health Director, Mr. Daniel Konka, has cautioned Ghanaians especially young men and women to desist from the growing patronage of sex enhancement drugs, warning that their misuse poses serious long-term health risks.

According to Mr. Konka, the increasing reliance on these substances for prolonged sexual performance and satisfaction is worrying, particularly among the youth who engage in sexual activity with the aim of sustaining intercourse for extended periods. He noted that while such drugs may produce short-term effects, their long-term impact can be damaging.

He explained that persistent use of sex enhancement drugs, especially by young males, could lead to reduced libido, sexual dysfunction, and other health complications later in life. These consequences, he stressed, may outweigh any temporary benefits gained from their use.

Mr. Konka therefore urged the youth to completely avoid sex enhancement drugs during their formative years and instead adopt healthier lifestyles and responsible sexual practices to safeguard their future well-being.
