The Member of Parliament for Bibiani–Anhwiaso–Bekwai, Hon. Bright Asamoah Brefo, alongside the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Sebastian Obeng, and Presiding Member, Hon. Abdallah Mohammed, joined the chiefs and people of Amokrom to cut the sod for the construction of a modern Kindergarten block in the community.
The project comes as a relief to residents, who have long faced challenges due to the lack of local school facilities. Until now, children have had to travel daily to Bibiani township for education—a journey made perilous by heavy traffic, large equipment, and vehicles frequently using the road linking the Ahafo and Ashanti regions.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Amokrom chief expressed gratitude to the MP and MCE for responding to the community’s plea, noting that the new KG block will protect children from daily travel hazards while improving access to quality early education.
The brief sod-cutting event was attended by the Municipal Director of Education, staff members, the Municipal Coordinating Director, and other officials from the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Assembly.
