FIFA has issued a warning to fans attending the 2026 World Cup, urging them to leave fireworks and pyrotechnic devices at home. The tournament’s Chief Safety and Security Officer, G.B. Jones, emphasized that the aim is to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.

 

Prohibited items includes Fireworks and pyrotechnic devices

– Musical instruments (some may be allowed, check FIFA’s website)

– Other items that may pose a safety risk

– Banners and flags (meeting safety requirements)

– Passion and energy!

 

Jones encouraged fans to check FIFA’s official website and ticketing platforms for the full list of banned items to avoid inconveniences on matchdays. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
