2024 Polls: Let’s all be present at the polling stations during the counting of Votes on Dec 7 -Akamba to Ghanaians

Former National Organizer of the Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Hamidu Akamba has urged Ghanaians and supporters of the umbrella fraternity to halt any attempt by anyone who tries to disrupt the polls on Election Day by being present at the various polling Stations during the counting of the Presidential Votes.

Akamba indicated that the NDC must work assiduously to fiercely protect the ballot boxes to ensure that every single vote counts to circumvent any foul move to rig the Elections.

Speaking to this portal, Captain Akamba as affectionately called said the NDC will continue to maintain peace and tranquility thus to eschew all forms of violence on Election day.

He, however, said the NDC and Ghanaians ought to fiercely resist any attempts to disrupt the polls because Election 2024 is a win for the NDC.

He said the NDC will not countenance the NPP using vigilantes to intimidate any voter or disrupt the elections, stating that the peace council and traditional leaders in Ghana should call out specific political parties whose activities will undermine the peace of the country.

Meanwhile, the former president has said that an NDC government will focus on creating sustainable jobs for young people through the 24-hour economy policy.

He said his government will also embark on massive infrastructural developments to open up the country.

On education, John Mahama said he would make technical and vocational education free to ensure that educated young people are skilled enough to meet the demands of the job market.
