NDC’s internal elections will be smooth- Director of Elections hopeful

The Director of Elections for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu- Ampofo has stated that adequate preparation has been done for the party’s internal elections which start from, 14th April, 2018 to 30th April, 2018.

He is hopeful the elections will be smooth devoid of serious  Speaking on Ahotor FM Morning Show with Onantefour Addea Mununkum on Thursday 12th April, 2018, the director of Elections affirmed that the elections will start with the branch (polling station) level and continue to the constituency then to the national level as stated in the elections structure put in place.

“Under Article 14/2 of the party constitution, the following positions will be contested, Chairman, Secretary, Organizer, treasurer, communication Officer, Women’s organizer, youth organizer and two other executive members. In all nine executives will be elected from each branch”

“We are admonishing all the election directorates in the various constituencies to collaborate with the executives in drawing a convenient time table within the time stipulated for the elections. This will help for proper supervision” he stated.

Ofosu- Ampofo continued stating that, the elections will be done with the involvement of past executives and former members of parliament as supervisors.

The director of elections advised party members to give their maximum support to make the elections a success.
