The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) have announced the appointment of Nora Häuptle as the new head coach of its Copper Queens until 2028, AhotorSports can confirm.
The Swiss replaces Bruce Mwape who has been reassigned to the Association’s Developmental Programs as he focuses on CAF Pro License course.

Zambia had been from afar following situation regarding the Nora and the Ghana Football Association regarding contract extension.
Aside the Ghana FA’s failure to meet the demands of the Swiss, the Kurt Okraku-led FA could not raise a purported $40K for preparatory friendlies ahead of the Women’s African Cup of Nations in Morocco later this year.
GFA offered Häuptle a $6,000 monthly salary and a $5,000 bonus in preparation for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco in July 2025 but she declined reportedly seeking $12,000 instead. Nora Häuptle Quits Black Queens – Reports
