Coach Yusif Basigi has officially joined Tanzanian side Simba Queens on a short-term deal. The move ends a successful 21-year stint with Ghanaian club Hasaacas Ladies.
Simba Queens will look up to their new coach for steam as they push for laurels this season. Last season Basigi won the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League with Hasaacas Ladies and was on the bench for the Black Maiden’s during the FIFA Women’s under-20 World Cup in Colombia. He led Hasaacas Ladies to a second-place finish in the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League.
Basigi, having won a plethora of trophies with Hasaacas Ladies, surely has what it takes to succeed in his new home but how he adapts is very important.
