Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has stirred up a heated debate on social media with his recent remarks about DNA testing.
In an Instagram post on February 21, 2025, the outspoken actor claimed that any woman who refuses to undergo a DNA test for her child when requested is “hiding something.”
He wrote:
“Any woman who refuses to do a DNA test on her child when it is demanded is hiding something. Don’t fall for any excuse she gives you. She is hiding something. A clear conscience fears nothing.”
As expected, his statement received mixed reactions, with many social media users calling him out over his personal life and questioning whether he had conducted DNA tests within his own family.
Reactions from Netizens:
“You should also do a DNA test for the child your baby mama gave you because the child looks nothing like you, bro .”
“I hope the message is getting clearer now because the time has come for the DNA test on…”
“Did you watch the video carefully? I’m sure you didn’t, so stop spitting trash.”
“You are not in any way a good example to give advice, so keep mute .”
“Chei, have you done DNA tests for Judy’s children?”
“Just like Judy. She refused DNA for Starskit until the truth came out that Mr. Obasi is actually the father. Yuliana, your sperm no longer works since Augusta fried it on a pan in her shrine. You will keep raising another man’s kids.”
“No worries, Yul, we are here to make you trend. We have enough time. Don’t think we’ll ever get tired! You no dey surprise us again oo! So many non-biological fathers are doing an amazing job, far better than the biological ones. A father is the one who is there for the kids! Na only for Africa una dey carry this DNA matter for head, no wonder we no dey develop! You sef, go do DNA for the ones you claim to have with Judy!”
“Chai! Queen May, I hope you now see what God has done for you. Walking out on Yul was your biggest blessing! I can only imagine what you went through in his hands!”
Edochie’s statement continues to generate widespread discussion, with many questioning his stance on the issue given his own personal controversies.
