Your position on the ballot paper does not determine your win – Sammy Gyamfi Esq.

National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, has emphasized that the position of a candidate on the ballot paper does not determine election outcomes.
Citing the 2000 election, where the late Prof. John Evans Atta Mills of the NDC was number 1 on the ballot but still lost despite being in government, Gyamfi stressed that Ghanaians are discerning voters who know what they want, irrespective of ballot positioning.
Speaking to the media as the NDC prepares to challenge the ruling NPP in the upcoming elections, Sammy Gyamfi noted that the relevance of ballot numbers lies in how easily voters can identify a candidate.
However, he argued that if voters do not prefer a candidate, their ballot position becomes irrelevant.
Gyamfi further claimed that the NPP and their flagbearer are aware of their impending electoral loss, regardless of being number 1 on the ballot.
He urged Ghanaians to vote massively for the NDC and its flagbearer, John Mahama, who is number 8 on the ballot, as he believes Mahama has the ability to restore the economy.
