Popular Ghanaian pastor Bishop Charles Agyinasare has cautioned Overly Power drunk politicians and political activists to know that nobody stays on top forever hence must do things that will bring progress than regress when entrusted with power.
In his latest sermon mainly on Envy and why Ghana is not progressing as we would have anticipated, the presiding bishop and founder of Perez Chapel was never shy to call out politicians and envious individuals for been the obstacle to Ghana’s progress. Using the biblical story of Cain and Able as example the man of God said a competition built on jealousy cannot be a competition.
Citing examples from the era of Jerry Rawlings to John Mahama Bishop Agyinasare questioned why projects funded with tax payers money are always left to rot when there’s change of government. He added that anytime there’s change of government the new government out of jealousy and pettiness in making sure their predecessors are not applauded will leave whatever projects it meets in office to start similar ones they won’t be able to finish themselves.
In his examples, Former President Kuffuor’s abandoned affordable housing among others were cited as very good projects that could be to the benefits of Ghanaians but because of the envious nature of the Ghanaian for giving credits to where it’s due these projects are left in the bush.
He went ahead to questioned why the Saglemi housing projects by John Dramani Mahama is still empty after it has been completed together with some E Block schools at various stages of completion left in the bush when children in most deprived villages will goes to school under trees.
On the issue of businesses collapse since this administration took office, Bishop Agyinasare asked if there was nothing meaningful government could have done to save UT bank owned by Kofi Amoabeng, GN bank owned by Dr.Nduom and Unibank owned by Dr.Duffuor than collapsing them which has led to job losses.
Admonishing those entrusted with power to use it properly because a day will come where they will not have that power again, He added that he’s never against the progress of foreign business but it’s however disturbing how Government is supervising the collapse of indigenous business for foreign ones to flourish.
