Ghanaian controversial dance hall musician, Shatta Wale disclosed in an interview that Sarkodie should have been bigger than Wizkid since he has been in the music industry longer than Wizkid.
Shatta believes that by now Sarkodie should have been more successful and popular than most Nigeria n musicians.
According to him, Sarkodie spends a lot of time and money on his craft and is still not on Wizkid’s level. He will not spend much on his music, especially videos. Those who do it are still not there so why should he do it. “someone like Sarkodie should have been bigger than Wizkid. Sarkodie puts money into his craft in terms of videos to make it perfectly right but he is still not there” He said.
He continued by saying that when Popular American singer Akon mentioned Sarkodie’s name, he should have made a move to collaborate with him.
But Sarkodie uses his resources to produce his videos and yet still he isn’t that famous. Shatta Wale made it known that despite all that Sarkodie does to shoot the expensive videos it hasn’t gotten him there yet so he doesn’t see why he should.
That is one way to look at it. The likes of Wizkid and other popular musicians who have made it have their videos well worked out and spend a lot on them. So with that how will you justify Shatta Wale’s assertion?
