Former President John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has urged Ghanaians to approach promises from President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with caution, labeling their governance approach as “very dangerous.”
Mahama, speaking during his tour in the Northern Region, expressed disappointment in the current administration, criticizing them for failing to deliver on promises made during the 2016 campaign.
He suggested that issues he was previously accused of mismanaging have only worsened under the current government, specifically pointing to the nation’s economic difficulties.
Mahama encouraged Ghanaians to “vote wisely” in the upcoming elections and to consider the NDC as an alternative for “better governance.”
Emphasizing that the NPP’s “elephant” symbol should be “sent back to the bush,” he positioned the NDC’s “umbrella” as the better option for the country’s future stability and progress.
