Ghanaian actor and football club owner Yaw Dabo has finally responded to controversial preacher Kumchacha following the ongoing public debate surrounding his alleged 1.1 billion old cedis funeral donation.
In a fiery reaction, Yaw Dabo questioned why people were doubting his financial capability and asking whether he truly had such an amount to donate. According to him, instead of criticism, people should rather appreciate the gesture he made at the funeral.
“How can you ask a whole CEO of a football team if he has 1.1 billion old cedis?” Dabo reportedly stated while defending himself against claims made by Kumchacha.
The actor made it clear that the donation was genuine and not just talk, insisting that he even has receipts to prove the amount he contributed. His comments come after Kumchacha advised him to show respect to his elders and appeared to cast doubt on the donation story.
Yaw Dabo, however, did not hold back during his response. He accused Kumchacha of always seeking public attention and hype, claiming that the preacher is often the one trying to stay at the center of controversies.
The entertainer further emphasised that as the CEO of a football club, he is worth far more than the reported 1.1 billion old cedis donation, suggesting that the amount should not even be surprising to the public.
The exchange has since taken over social media, with fans divided over who is right in the heated back-and-forth. While some praised Dabo for defending himself boldly, others believe the public feud should have been handled privately.
With both personalities known for their outspoken nature, many Ghanaians are expecting the drama to continue in the coming days.
