Chairman Wontumi as affectionately called, appeared before the council alongside NPP party Chairman Stephen Ntim, Majority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, and other government officials. Nana Kwaku Duah, the Kokosohene, acted as a witness during the hearing, shedding light on the events that unfolded during the contentious vetting session.
Wontumi, in his defense, vehemently denied making any statements that would disrespect Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II. He dismissed the accusations as false, asserting that they misrepresented his actual communication.
