Wizkid’s ‘Piece of My Heart’ sets new record on YouTube Nigeria

Tega Oghenejobo has officially been appointed as the new President of Mavin Records, a global record label that has been making waves since its founding in 2012. On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, the founder of Mavin Records, announced Tega’s promotion.

Through a post on his X account (formerly Twitter), Don Jazzy revealed that Tega’s responsibilities have been enhanced as he now holds the titles of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President of the prestigious label.

He expressed pride in recognizing Tega’s passion and determination from the very beginning. “I’m thrilled to share that @TEGAMAVIN is stepping into the expanded role of President and COO of Mavin. Many commend me for spotting talent, but I consider my greatest achievement to be recognizing Tega’s unwavering commitment early on,”

Don Jazzy stated. He continued, “From the outset, I’ve seen his eagerness to learn about the industry, nurture teams, develop leaders, and ensure our artists have sustainable careers.

His relentless dedication to Mavin and the future of African music gives me confidence that we will continue to reach new heights and achieve even greater success for our artists and our company under his leadership.” In response to his new position, Tega expressed gratitude, saying, “I’m honored to take on the role of President and COO of Mavin Records.
