Nigerian music sensation Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, opened up about his youthful admiration for Nollywood icon Genevieve Nnaji.
The Afrobeat star confessed that during his formative years, he harbored a significant crush on the esteemed actress, having been captivated by her performances on screen.
Recounting their first encounter, Wizkid shared that he was accompanied by his older uncles, who introduced him to Genevieve as “their boy.” This introduction led him to address her respectfully as “Ma,” a moment that, according to Wizkid, transformed his perception of her from a childhood crush to a familial figure. He humorously noted, “I really had a crush on Genevieve until I met her and I realized she was my aunt.”
Despite this shift, Wizkid’s admiration for Genevieve remains unwavering. He expressed his continued affection, stating, “It is all good though, I still love you Genevieve.”
