Medeama SC title chase continues to decelerate after failing to win in their last four games with the latest coming as defeat to Accra Lions at the Legon Stadium on Saturday.
It was third straight away game for the Yellow and Mauve outfits in January as they only accumulated two points from possible
Lions themselves are battling for survival and were in desperation picked all maximum points after beating the visitors 1-0, thanks to Lucky Nwafor’s second half excellent goal from the spot.
The defeat does not only marks Medeama’s sixth of the season but also the fourth away loss, and a second in the last four—an equal number of draws in the last four premier league games.
When quizzed how he plans to get the team back on track, Medeama SC Assistant Coach, Steven Gurah said:
“We are working on something to end the run of four games without a win against Lions. We are dropping but then we have a couple of injuries but we are trying to see how best we can fix things up and we’ll bounce back”
The 2022/2023 Ghana Premier League Champions have won only one game this January despite playing five games to the start of the new year.
