We Were Paid $105 Not $3M For African Games Coverage – GBC Director General

The Director General of Ghana Broadcasting Corporations (GBC), Prof Amin Alhassan has refuted the Sports Minister’s claim of $3million payment for the coverage of the 13th African Games.

This revelation came to the light when the GBC Director General responded to the claim made by the Sports Minister , Hon Mustapha Yussif at the Public accounts Committee (PAC) where he stated that $3million USD was paid to GBC coverage.

GBC Director Genera,l Prof Amin Alhassan emphasized that $105,000USD equivalent was the total benefits paid to them to support the dedication of a whole channel for the African games and the role as official broadcaster not in excess of $3m USD .
