The Electoral Commission (EC) has called on the Police to investigate claims made by former President John Mahama that the commission thumb printed one million ballot papers to favour President Nana Addo Dankwa in the 2020 presidential election.
At the Let the Citizens Know series held in Accra Monday afternoon (October 25), the EC described the claim by the former President as “false and untrue” and stressed that it was in the public interest for the police to initiate full-scale investigation that would require Mr Mahama to provide evidence to the claim he made.
The minority in parliament reacting to this still insist that the 2020 elections is the worst in the history of the country.
The EC at a press conference yesterday rubbished comments by 2020 flag bearer of the NDC John Dramani Mahama that the election was flawed and questionable.
They also denied claims that the commission printed extra ballot papers to rig the elections in favor of the ruling NPP and ask the IGP to investigate John Mahama on those comments.
Reacting to this, MP for Sagnarigu Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini insists the 2020 elections was the worse in the history of Ghana.
