We Paid GBC Over $3million For African Games Broadcast – Sports Minister
Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Yussif has revealed that the ministry paid in excess of $3 million to GBC for the broadcasts of the African games hosted in Ghana.
The minister shared during a session with the Public Accounts Committee of Ghana that the ministry had paid GBC for the exclusive broadcast of the 13th African games held in Ghana.
It was emphasized that GBC served as the official broadcaster for this momentous occasion, marking the first time Ghana had hosted the African games.
The hosting of the African games in Ghana not only showcased the country on an international stage but also led to significant advancements in sporting infrastructure.
This included the completion of the Legon Sports Stadium, the construction of a multipurpose stadium in Borteyman, the renovation of the Bokum Boxing Arena, and various other enhancements to sporting facilities nation wide.
