We Fought Hard And Deserved Our Victory Against Ivory Coast
The head coach of Ghana Black Satellites, Desmond Offei has expressed that his team really fought hard to clinched the victory to qualify for the finals of the ongoing WAFU Zone B.
In a post-match interview following a hard fought encounter against Ivory Coast , coach Desmond Offei expressed pride in his team’s performance against Ivory Coast. He emphasized the importance of resilience and teamwork throughout the game.
“It was a tough game, but we deserve the win.”
Ghana Black Satellites recorded a 2-1 comeback triumph over the Ivorians in the semi-final of the WAFU Zone-B U20 qualifiers at the Stade de Municipal over the weekend.
An own goal from Issac Cisse and another from top scorer, Jerry Afriyie denied the Young Elephants a place in the final after Konan Loukou scored first in the 18th minute.
Ghana Black Satellites will rock shoulders against Nigeria in the Grand finale after they defeated their Niger counterpart in a 3-1 at the Stade du Kague .
The WAFU B U20 Championship serves as the qualification for the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations, with only Ghana and Nigeria going through.
