The Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Aggrey Quarshie has clarified that female army recruits hopefuls were not disqualified because of their plus size breasts and butts.
He stated that all those who were disqualified did not pass the physical examination process which included the fitness test.
The shortlisting of applicants which is ongoing at the El Wak Sports Stadium, expects recruit to meet criteria as not having tattoo on any part of their body whether visible or concealed, not being flat footed and not being oversized in weight.
He was speaking in a telephone conversation with Onantefour Addae – Mununkum on Ahotor FM’s mid- morning Show, Ahotor Mmre on Wednesday, 26th July.
“We didn’t necessarily disqualify ladies with big breasts and butts, but we noticed that most of these ladies with such features did not pass the drill test during the examination”
” Ladies with huge breast and Butts is a disadvantage since it impede their running and other military exercises”, he stated.
