The youth group of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), known as NDC Insight, has expressed strong concerns over alleged intimidation tactics by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the upcoming elections.
Speaking on Ahotor FM’s Yepeahunu program, Alex Sestoafia Avorkpo, the Secretary of NDC Insight, emphasized that while the NDC values peace, they are not willing to be passive in the face of aggression.
He cited incidents during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election and the 2020 general elections as examples of past violence and stated that the party is prepared to defend itself if necessary.
Avorkpo also urged Ghanaians to support the NDC in the elections, asserting that the party is ready to lead the country and bring positive change.
He stressed that the NDC’s call for peace should not be mistaken for weakness, as the party remains determined to stand firm against any form of bullying from the NPP.
