WC 2026: Twelve players missed Ghana’s qualifiers due to injury

Twelve players including Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Tariq Lamptey have been left out of Ghana’s squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers due to injuries.

Long-term absentee Daniel Kofi-Kyereh is yet to recover from his injury while Joseph Aidoo and Abdul Mumin suffered recent setbacks in La Liga.

Ghana coach Otto Addo announced his squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday morning.

The players are expected to start arriving on Monday as Ghana opens camp next week.

The Black Stars will face Chad in Accra next Friday before travelling to Morocco for the game against Madagascar three days later.
