WC 2026 Qualifiers: Black Stars to begin camping in Accra on March 17

Ghana’s Black Stars are set to begin preparations for the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifying series by opening camp on Monday, March 17, 2025.

The four-time African champions will play host to Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24, 2024.

For the first time this year, the West African powerhouse will regroup for the crucial qualifying games following AFCON 2025 qualification setback last November.

Having announced his squad for the matches, coach Otto Addo and his charges are expected to begin preparation at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, with the first training session open to the public.

The team will hold four days of training at the Accra Sports Stadium before taking on their Chadian counterparts on Friday, March 21.

Having missed out on AFCON 2025, the Black Stars will be hoping to restore national pride when they take on Chad and Madagascar in a must-win clash.

The Black Stars are currently second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros. The team must secure maximum points to strengthen their qualification bid for the biggest soccer mundial to be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico next year.
