Ghanaian actor Joseph Osei has added his voice to the growing criticism surrounding Ghana’s football administration following the Ghana national football team’ disappointing exit from the World Cup.
Speaking passionately about the team’s performance, Wayoosi called on John Dramani Mahama to take what he described as bold and decisive action by dissolving the Ghana Football Association and dismissing Kofi Adams if he is unable to effectively lead the country’s sports sector.
“Mr. President, dissolve the GFA and also sack Sports Minister Kofi Adams if he is not competent enough for the job. We cannot sit back and watch our Black Stars fall into ruin because of a few individuals,” the actor said.
Wayoosi’s comments reflect the frustration of many football fans who have expressed disappointment over Ghana’s recent performances and have demanded reforms within the country’s football administration.
His remarks have since sparked widespread debate on social media, with some Ghanaians supporting his call for major changes, while others believe the challenges facing the Black Stars require long-term solutions rather than leadership changes alone.
The actor’s statement adds to the growing public conversation about the future of Ghana football, as supporters continue to demand accountability and a clear plan to restore the Black Stars to their former glory.
