Cable News Network (CNN) has aired the full footage of its controversial interview with voluptuous Ghanaian actress Moesha Boduong.
The video is the sixth episode of a Christiane Amanpour documentary titled: Sex and Love Around the World.
Moesha came under a torrent of criticism two weeks ago when she admitted in a snippet of the show that she sleeps with married men in order to support her lifestyle.
According to her, “In Ghana, our economy is such in a way that you just need someone to take care of you and a single person you can’t make enough money as a woman here.
“Because even when you want to get an apartment, in Ghana you pay two years in advance and I just started working; where will I get money to pay for an apartment for two years?” she added.
A visibly surprised Christiane Amanpour further asked, “Are you basically telling me that you are having sex with this guy essentially to pay your rent?”
This is what Moesha had to say, “Because he can afford to take care of you; he takes care of me. My financial stuff, my apartment, my car, my rent, everything.”
In the interview, Moesha also reveals that she is a Christian and is in love with her married lover.
She said: “I’m a Christian,” she said, adding that she is known by her sugar daddy’s wife.
“I’m a loyal mistress, so I’m good and the wife knows about me. What I’m doing is not causing anyone harm or causing pain.”

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) disassociated Ghanaian women from actress Moesha’s comment. The Sector Minister, Ms Otiko Afisa Djaba in a statement condemned Moesha’s comment and in particular “her generalisations, which are unjustified.”
The Ministry noted that Moesha Boduong has the right to discuss her lifestyle on any platform but “she does not represent the multitudes of hardworking Ghanaian women putting in 10 – 18 hours a day in the fields, markets and offices across Ghana, to put food on the table, find shelter for their children and guide their families through the turbulence of life to the extraordinary vision of “A Ghana Beyond Aid”, which is within our reach.” Amanpour, CNN’s Chief International Correspondent later came to the defence of Moesha, stating that it was quite distressing to hear that she has been the target of public shaming by the Ghanaian press and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
“I learned so much talking with dozens of everyday individuals in cities around the world, including a former porn star in Delhi who had just adopted a baby girl, a host in Tokyo who is paid to simply entertain lonely women in sexless marriages, and an actress in Accra who happened to fall in love with a married man,” Amanpour wrote.
“So it was quite distressing to hear that one of our contributors, Moesha Boduong, has been the target of public shaming by the Ghanaian press and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.
“Numerous media outlets in Ghana have taken to villainizing this young woman based on an excerpt of the conversation included in a 1 minute, 30-second video of “Sex and Love,” Amanpour added.
