Veteran Voice coach Daniel Freeman Ame has responded to comments made by broadcaster Obaapa Janee during her show on Ahotor FM about the increasing number of women undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures.
During the Ahotor mmre show, Obaapa Janee suggested that many women choose to have BBL surgery because they believe a curvier body makes them more attractive to men and increases their chances of getting attention from potential partners.
She also advised ladies to be very careful because most of the guys, after something happens to you, they don’t know you
Obaapa advised women to be very careful when considering cosmetic surgery.
A lot of men may encourage certain body ideals, but if something goes wrong, many of them will distance themselves and act like they don’t know you. Women should make such decisions for themselves, not to satisfy anyone else’s expectations.
Reacting to her discussion, Coach Freeman Daniel Ame disagreed, arguing that men should not be blamed for the growing BBL trend.
According to him, no man typically forces his wife or girlfriend to undergo cosmetic surgery, and many women who have had BBLs have openly admitted that the procedure gives them access to wealthier men and a more luxurious lifestyle.
The voice coach further stated that while men may have different physical preferences, the decision to undergo cosmetic enhancement is ultimately a personal one.
He maintained that dissatisfaction with one’s natural appearance plays a bigger role than pressure from men.
Do you believe cosmetic surgery is purely a personal choice, or do societal beauty standards, social media influence, and the perceived preferences of men all play arole in the growing popularity of BBL procedures?
This conversation continues to fuel debate over beauty standards, body image, and the factors influencing women’s decisions to undergo cosmetic surgery.
