“Vital Legacy’s ‘L3 Awards’ Honors Leaders and Preserves Their Legacies in Real-Time”

Rev. Stephen Addo, the Deputy CEO of Vital Legacy, a brand name Leading Legend Legacy (L3) initiative , has highlighted their mission to honour outstanding individuals and preserve their legacies. Speaking to Ahotor FM, Rev. Addo explained that their awards program, known as the “Legendary Awards” or “L3 Awards,” is designed to celebrate the contributions of remarkable leaders while they are still alive and active.

In an interview with Mercy Addai Turkson of Ahotor Newsroom,  Rev Stephen Addo  emphasized that society often waits until great individuals have grown old or passed away before recognizing their achievements. However, the vital legacy aims to change this narrative by acknowledging these contributions in real time.

The vision behind the initiative was inspired by Apostle Florence Tigah, the CEO of Vital Legacy, who revealed that she received divine guidance to honour hardworking individuals and document their stories. As a proud Northerner, she is affectionately called “Toma Toma,” which means “Ayekoo” (a traditional Ghanaian term for expressing appreciation).

So far, the Legendary Awards have celebrated 32 individuals. The first event took place on November 29, 2024, honouring 20 exceptional leaders. The second was held on March 1, 2025, where 12 more were recognized. The next awards ceremony is scheduled for April 13, 2025, at Kantamanto, focusing on Northern chiefs who have significantly impacted their communities.

Rev. Addo stated that these awards are open to anyone who has worked hard and contributed positively to society, regardless of their background or field. The program is committed to giving these unsung heroes the recognition they deserve while keeping their legacies alive for future generations.

The CEO of Vital Legacy, Apostle Florence Tigah, has made a heartfelt appeal for sponsorship to support their newly launched initiative aimed at empowering the youth. She explained that because the program is still in its early stages, they currently lack sponsors but emphasize the immense potential and value of the work they are doing.

“We are committed to encouraging the youth to work hard and stay determined because their efforts will one day be recognized,” Apostle Tigah stated.

She also highlighted the organization’s educational arm, TPL College, which is dedicated to equipping young boys and girls with vocational skills. The college offers training in areas such as sewing, makeup artistry, and event decoration. Recognizing that many aspiring students can not afford the cost of such programs, Vital Legacy has made the initiative free of charge to ensure no one is left behind.

However, Apostle Tigah noted that providing these opportunities without financial backing has been challenging, and she urged individuals, corporate bodies, and philanthropists to come on board as sponsors. “With your support, we can continue to provide these life-changing opportunities for young people and help shape a brighter future,” she concluded.

The appeal underscores the importance of community support in nurturing talent and fostering self-reliance among the youth.
