Dodowa, Ghana – President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has assured Ghanaians that Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has recovered fully and will soon return to active duty.

Speaking during his Greater Accra Regional “Thank You Tour” at the Old Ghanata AstroTurf in Dodowa, President Mahama gave an update on the health status of the Vice President following her recent medical treatment abroad.

“I begin by bringing you greetings from Her Excellency, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang. And I’m happy to state that I spoke to her yesterday morning, and she’ll be back in the country before the end of next week,” he said.

President Mahama’s remarks come in the wake of earlier speculation and misinformation surrounding the Vice President’s health.

He dismissed the rumours, affirming that she is doing well and ready to resume her responsibilities.

“By God’s grace, she’s fully recovered, and she’s going to come and go back to her duties,” he stated.

The Vice President’s anticipated return is seen as a significant moment, as she continues to play a central role in the President Mahama administration’s governance and policy agenda.
