Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is in good health and currently taking a short rest abroad, following medical advice, according to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications.
In an interview with with the media, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu assured the public that the Vice President is recovering well and will resume her duties soon. He confirmed that she is currently in the United Kingdom for rest and recuperation.
“She is currently in good health and taking a short rest as advised by her doctors, and in short order, she should be back to her duties,” said Mr. Kwakye Ofosu. “She is in the United Kingdom as I speak,” he added, providing reassurance to the public.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang had fallen ill shortly after discharging official duties on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was initially treated at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) before being flown abroad for further care.
