“True Love Never Dies”: Apostle Sam and Rita Korankye Ankrah Renew Marriage Vows After 40 Years

Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah and his wife, Apostle Mrs Rita Korankye Ankrah, have celebrated four decades of marriage by renewing their vows in a beautiful ceremony filled with love, faith and laughter.

The couple, who first met in 1982 and got married in 1986, marked their 40th wedding anniversary by reaffirming their commitment to each other in the presence of family, friends and well-wishers.

Their four-decade journey has seen them build a family of four children while also serving together in ministry through Royalhouse Chapel International.

One of the memorable moments of the celebration came when Apostle Rita used popular Ghanaian foods to affectionately describe her husband.

In a humorous expression of love, she called him “My Dawadawa in my Tuo-Zaafi; My wele on my Waakye,” sending those gathered into laughter.

Behind the humour, however, was a deeply emotional reaffirmation of her love and commitment to her husband.

Speaking during the vow renewal, Apostle Rita reflected on their 40 years together and declared that she was ready to continue the journey with him.

“I have, in these 40 years, loved you and submitted to you. Today, I reaffirm my commitment to you as I did 40 years before.”

She further pledged to continue honouring her husband and submitting to his leadership while committing herself to a stronger and deeper union with him.

She promised to remain one with him in spirit, soul and body for the rest of their lives.
The celebration offered a glimpse into the personal side of the respected couple, whose marriage has developed alongside their years of ministry.

From their first meeting in 1982 to four decades of marriage, family and service, the Korankye Ankrah story continues to stand as a testament to love, commitment and companionship.

For the couple, their 40th anniversary was more than a milestone—it was a renewed declaration that true love never dies.
