Nigerian Stars Shine at the 2025 Grammys
Nigeria’s music industry has a strong presence at this year’s Grammys, with Afrobeats stars dominating the African Song Performance category.

Tems leads the pack with three nominations: Best Global Album for her debut LP Born In The Wild, Best African Song Performance, and a historic nod for Best RnB Performance with her song Burning.

Hitmaker Rema is in the running for Best Global Album with his sophomore project HEIS, hoping to secure his first Grammy win.

Other Nigerian nominees include:

Yemi Alade, earned her first Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance.

Lojay was recognized for his contributions to Chris Brown’s Sensational, alongside Davido.

Asake secured his second nod for Best African Song Performance with MMS featuring Wizkid.

Burna Boy achieved a record-breaking 10th Grammy nomination for Higher in the same category.

The African Song Performance category debuted at the 66th Grammy Awards, where South Africa’s Tyla claimed victory.

While the Nigerian contingent faced disappointment last year, the 2025 Grammys promise to be a celebratory moment, with Nigeria poised to secure an award in the highly competitive field.
