Thomas Partey Excited to Score in Arsenal’s Draw with Brentford

Ghana international Thomas Partey expressed his excitement after scoring a crucial goal in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.

The Black Stars midfielder was deployed at right-back by Mikel Arteta and finished off a quick counter-attack to give Arsenal the lead.

Partey’s goal came on the hour mark after David Raya initiated a swift counter-attack, laying the ball for Declan Rice, who then found Partey to fire home the opener.

Although the lead was short-lived, lasting only 13 minutes before Yoanne Wissa levelled for Brentford, Partey was thrilled to have scored.

“It’s something that we’ve been doing for a while now,” Partey said about the goal. “I’m lucky to be at that position at that time. But normally we have a lot of quick players who are always on the counter. I think it’s just something that we always do.” Partey added that scoring goals is a highlight of the game for him and expressed his happiness at finding the net.

The goal against Brentford was Partey’s fourth Premier League goal this season, marking his most prolific campaign since moving to England.

The Ghana midfielder has been impressive for Arsenal, showcasing his versatility and skill on the pitch.
