Thomas Cobbinah Denies Allegations of Sabotage in Assin South NDC Defeat

The Assin South Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Thomas Cobbinah, has dismissed allegations that he orchestrated the party’s parliamentary candidate’s defeat in the 2024 general elections.
The claims, made by Kelvin Taylor, founder of Loud Silence Media, suggested that Cobbinah collaborated with the incumbent NPP MP, Rev. Ntim Fordjour, to rig the election.
Cobbinah has called these allegations false, stating that the party had multiple IT experts managing the elections, and he wasn’t involved in the IT and management of the election activities.
He emphasized that the party didn’t lose the elections outright, as they won the presidential election in the constituency, and therefore can’t be said to have lost.
Cobbinah urged the party and stakeholders to come together to make history in the next elections, rather than engaging in blame games.
He noted that Assin South has traditionally been a stronghold for the opposition and it’s in the party’s interest to work together for success.
