The NPP’s Agyapadie Document is a danger to Ghana – Unionist

Abraham Koomson, the Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), has raised serious concerns about the controversial Agyapadie Book.

He claims that this book poses a significant threat to Ghana, suggesting that it serves as a blueprint for state capture by the current government.

In an interview on Ahotor FM’s Yepe Ahunu with host Nana Dogbe, Mr. Koomson expressed alarm over the ongoing corruption and impunity within the public sector.

He argued that state capture in Ghana involves much more than just the sale of physical assets.

Mr. Koomson highlighted that the country has lost substantial amounts of money through corrupt practices such as fraudulent contract awards and excessive judgment debts.

These corrupt activities, he said, have drained more resources from the public coffers than the sale of public assets.

He urged the management of Ahotor FM to allocate time for a thorough discussion on the Agyapadie Book.

He believes it is crucial for Ghanaians to understand the harmful intentions of the ruling government regarding state capture.

Mr. Koomson expressed deep concern over the prevailing culture of impunity, warning that it could lead to instability in the country.

He emphasized the importance of addressing these issues promptly to prevent unforeseen consequences that could arise from the implementation of the Agyapadie Book.
